Commissioned by Bring To Light Festival NYC, The Company is a sound-reactive light installation designed in collaboration with Roland Ellis.
Seventy-six tungsten lamps, suspended in a catenary arch, framed a live performance that resurrected the sounds of the East River’s 19th-century industrial icons. Through a live adaptation of the soundscape, rhythm and mechanical processes were reintroduced to the space, evoking the presence of a machine returned to a once-bustling environment, breathing with the architecture’s legacy and reacting to the world around it.
