
5 Seconds of Summer’s live performance at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards marked a new chapter in the band’s artistic direction.
Constructed from underlit wooden pallets and framed by a warm, dense atmosphere of an illuminated crescent and chandelier, the stage provided a theatrical context that intentionally set the performance apart from the existing VMA stage.
